Warehouse online

The Warehouse module was created for entrepreneurs who care about keeping records of the stock of the products they sell. Thanks to the functions of the module, you can automatically carry out an inventory and physical inventory, as well as enable inventory control for products. The program itself will block the sale of goods that are not in stock.

The Warehouse module, enabling the recording of warehouse stocks and movements, is necessary for companies that want to control this stock and for those that are obliged to control it (companies working on full accounting and dealing with, among others, goods turnover). The Warehouse module will work both for a company selling in the B2B model, a small retail store, and for a company running its own online store. In the case of an online store, data about goods, their descriptions, photos, prices and availability are downloaded from the Comarch ERP XT program, and information about customer orders for execution is returned from the e-store. Stock levels are updated after each operation in the system, which allows for full control of sales and avoiding them in the event of a lack of stock.

The warehouse module in the program allows you to handle:

  • receipt and release of goods from the warehouse – an important aspect is that this happens automatically after entering the income and cost documents,
  • control of stock levels and blocking sales below these levels,
  • the ability to choose which goods are to have a controlled state and which are not,
  • support for EAN codes, which significantly improves work with barcode readers,
  • conducting an inventory of owned goods,
  • conducting a physical inventory.

Inventory and physical inventory

Physical inventory is an activity consisting in the physical conversion of the quantity of goods in the warehouse and entering the data on inventory cards (manual or electronic). It usually consists of a first count and a check count, but the second count should not be done by the same people who did the first count. After the inventory is made, the entrepreneur performs valuations of the goods in his possession, usually on the basis of their purchase prices.

The physical inventory is part of the inventory. The inventory, on the other hand, is to be used to determine the actual quantity and value of the goods held and to indicate and explain the differences between the actual state and the state resulting from commercial or accounting records. Translating into a simpler language, after performing the inventory, we determine whether the actual state of the goods in the warehouse agrees with what we have in the program and what is the value of the goods in stock.
